It feels like only yesterday Continia treated us to a user-focused 2022 RI update – and now they are back with more. This month, they’ve announced full support for the Business Central 2022 wave 2 release for all Continia solutions on all platforms. But what does this mean for your business?
Similarly to the RI update, they’ll be introducing a range of intuitive new features designed to simplify tasks and streamline processes. And this time, they’ll be complemented by some exciting new add-on modules.

Document Capture Version 10
If Continia’s Document Capture V9 wasn’t quite cutting it for you, their brand new Document Capture version 10 features a ‘Purchase Contracts’ add-on module, designed to help businesses handle their purchase contracts efficiently and effectively. With the ability to create contracts directly from a recurring invoice, an accessible overview of contracts and more, you’ll find everything you need to handle purchase contracts in one place.
If the add-on isn’t included in your current plan & you’re not quite ready to pay any extra, there’s good news: Continia’s latest Document Capture release includes tonnes of great features at no additional cost. Highlighting the benefits of humans and technology working together, these updates include:
- Caption suggestions – you’ll receive caption suggestions for master template fields based on previous vendor template field captions. And naturally, the more this feature is used, the more effective it will become!
- Assisted setup guide – with the help of this assisted setup guide, you can create new template fields with peace of mind. It eliminates the risk of deleting mandatory existing fields & removes the worry of breaking the template, making for a smoother and more efficient template creation process.
- Auto-register – when working on individual templates, you now have the option to ‘Register Documents Automatically’, speeding up document handling for selected vendors.
Expense Management Version 10
Continia’s latest Expense Management updates are designed to create a seamless experience for users, no matter where in the world they’re located.
- Role center cues – simplified role center experience for a more straightforward overview.
- Automated synching – images of receipts and the like will now be synchronised and visible from the Expense Portal, making them more accessible and speeding up the expense process.
- Spanish vendor support (Spanish localisation)
Document Output Version 7
Continia have made their templates more accessible – but this doesn’t mean security has been compromised!
- Password-protected PDFs – share documents with confidence with the help of password-protected PDFs.
- Multiple supported languages on templates – go global with the option to build templates based on the country of intended use and the ability to define which language(s) your emails are generated in.
Payment Management Version 5
Say hello to Continia’s newest Payment Management add-on: Payment Approval. With the help of this module, approving your vendor and employee payments will be a secure and safe process. The Payment Management add-on allows you to set up a multi-user approval flow, allowing multiple approvers to approve simultaneously. And if that wasn’t enough, certain approvers can now approve payments based on the accumulated amount or the percentage of the amount per payment journal/line or by a maximum amount per payment journal/line or vendor/employee.
– Improved onboarding wizards – as if by magic, Continia have listened and upped the guidance users receive in the assisted setup guide, meaning customers can now set up their bank accounts with a simple, hassle-free process.
