The biggest takeaway from this series is this: There’s new legislation coming which mandates EU companies to report on their carbon emissions. It will start in 2025 with the large companies, followed by mid-sized companies in 2026, and all other companies in 2027. So, if you have companies in the EU, this will impact you regardless of your companies size. However, even for UK companies, we can expect something similar to take affect in the near future and with consumers increasingly expecting ethical practices from their suppliers, sustainability reporting to track carbon emissions and move towards net zero has never been more imperative.
