GEM provide customer contact solutions to a wide range of global clients from their base in Belfast. With 600 employees who work in 30 different languages, they handle telephone, email, live chat and social media contacts for companies as diverse as Cisco, Channel 4 and EA Games.

The problem

Signature Works

Established in 1973, The Signature Works Ltd is Ireland's largest embroiderer and printer of corporate, leisure, sportswear, school wear, work wear, and promotional products.

The Problem
Having invested heavily in machinery, skills and stock to build a strong, competitive business, managers turned their attention to the IT systems underpinning the company's accounts and customer service functions.

The business used to rely on Sage 50 Accounts and Goldmine customer relationship management (CRM) software and while these had provided good service over the years, they were approaching end of life and were unable to handle rising transactions volumes and an expanding user base.

Signature Works chose a solution based on Sage 200 with Sage 200 CRM. The integrated solution also incorporated Spindle Professional software to provide paperless document management. Signature Works had considered a fully bespoke system, but Pinnacle could customise Sage 200 sales order processing and order tracking to align with the needs of the business, avoiding the cost and complexity of a bespoke system.

Irish FA

As the governing body for football in Northern Ireland, the Irish FA look after the interests of 960 football clubs and 25,000 players.

The problem
With an increasing volume of data and more complex levels of organisation, they had outgrown their previous systems and needed to bring in new software to keep their business in order.

Solution Adopting Sage 200 meant that the Irish FA could now produce reports for the board of directors, including accounts, profit and loss and analysis of costs for international matches on a regular basis throughout the season, helping the Irish FA assess performance and forecast for the forthcoming financial year.
