Film festival set for London

More than 500 new independent movies from across the globe are set to be premiered in London later this year.From September 2nd to 19th various venues around the city will play host to new movies as part of the Portobello Film Festival 2010, giving attendees to the free events the opportunity to see if budding Peter Jackson's have put film software to good use.
The festival's full programme is set to be published on its website at the start of next month.
However, a number of screenings are likely to take place in the new Pop Up Cinema located close to Portobello Road, which will also be the venue for parties, free family films and the Artist's Eye programme - a series of films illustrated by some of the best artists alive today.
Film software may also have been in use in the creation of a movie entitled The Perfect Burger, produced by The Co-operative British Youth Film Academy and directed by former Eastenders star Todd Carty.
