Production costing software may have helped Carty

A new film directed by Todd Carty may have made use of production costing software.

Production costing software may have been in use for the creation of a new film directed by former Eastenders star Todd Carty.

Entitled The Perfect Burger, the movie - produced by The Co-operative British Youth Film Academy (BYFA) - starred more than 300 young people alongside the likes of actress Pauline Quirke, best known for her role in comedy series Birds of a Feather.

Carty commented that the project has been a fantastic experience and one that has proved "invaluable and enjoyable" for him as well as the young people.

He added: "You do hear negative stories about young people in the media but positive projects like The Co-operative BYFA highlight just what they can achieve."

BYFA was established to provide a solid link between the commercial film industry and all branches of media education.

It has recently been reported by the Sheffield Star that young producers from Sheffield, will see their film Threads screened at London's Soho Shorts Festival at the end of the month.
