Film accounting software may prove useful for new titles
Wed Jul 14 2010 12:26Film accounting software could be in use to get a number of movies through production.
Film accounting software may prove useful for some of the projects currently being held up by financing issues at MGM studios.Den of Geek has taken a look at some of the movies it believes have been delayed to due to funding problems including The Hobbit, James Bond 23, Cabin In The Woods and Robocop.
If production had run smoothly then, it suggests, The Hobbit would currently be shooting with Guillermo del Toro as director, Peter Jackson producing and a knowledge of the cast.
However, continued delays to the start of production caused del Toro to pull out of the project earlier this year and a replacement is yet to be named.
The next instalment of the James Bond franchise has also been hit with the recent news that Eon Productions has stopped work on the movie "indefinitely".
However the website suggests: "There's no chance at all that the James Bond franchise is dead."
The last Bond film was Quantum of Solace in 2008.
