Film software may prove useful for the producers of a short movie who are aiming to get it shown at international festivals.Work is underway in Swanage for producer Paddy O'Sullivan and the crew on a film about a boy with a speech impediment who dreams of being a stand-up comedian, reports BBC Dorset.
The movie focuses on the character of Eddie who works at a bed and breakfast hotel in Swanage and finds himself unable to use a telephone due to his speech impediment, something that came directly from the producer's experience.
"We want to bring out the short film, show it all around the festivals and then hope we can get the money to make a feature film," he said.
He added the filmmakers already have a full-length film version plotted and stated it will be put forward for the international Sundance film festival next year.
It has recently been announced the film Threads, by young producers from Sheffield, will be screened at London's Soho Shorts Festival at the end of the month.
