Twilight director's experience 'helped'
Thu Jul 8 2010 17:23The previous work of Twilight director David Slade may have helped with his use of film software for Eclipse.
Director David Slade has spoken about how his previous experiences helped him to put film software to good use in the third instalment of the Twilight movies.Slade has previously worked on projects including Hard Candy, vampire film 30 Days of Night and Muse videos, which all may have helped him with the latest film based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novels.
"It didn't hurt that I'd done videos for Muse, who happen to be the author's favourite band," he told the BBC.
He added that it is "the darkest of the books" as the characters are getting older and "the blacks and whites are getting shades of greys".
The film is released in the UK tomorrow and the director may be hoping that Eclipse is the most successful movie of the series yet.
Eclipse features British star Robert Pattinson, who missed the UK premiere of the movie due to filming commitments in Los Angeles.
