Conch Awards to honour TV software use

The nominations deadline for this year's Conch Awards is approaching.

Those putting film and TV software to good use are set to be honoured in an upcoming awards ceremony.

It has been revealed that nominations for the prestigious UK Screen Sound Awards 2010 - The Conch - are open until tomorrow (July 8th).

Industry professionals are invited to make use of online forms on the 'Nominate' section of The Conch website to honour someone they believe deserves recognition for an outstanding achievement in audio post-production.

A high-profile judging panel is set to oversee categories including TV Mix Facility, Film Mix Facility, Commercials and Promo Facility and Sound Design and Editorial Facility.

In addition to this, promos for TV can now be included in the Commercial of the Year category.

The Conch Award - now in its fifth year - states that it brings together more than 400 members of the UK's audio industry in celebration of the very best of UK talent and facilities.
