Film production problems for Scream 4?

Rights management software may be in use for Scream 4.

Internet reports are suggesting that Kevin Williamson, the scriptwriter for the first two Scream movies, is no longer attached to the production of Scream 4.

Rights management software may prove useful for project director Wes Craven who was hoping to bring Neve Campbell, Courtney Cox and David Arquette back to their most successful film roles.

Den Of Geek suggests the two most important creative forces behind the Scream films may not currently have the control of the movie they desire as Wes Craven posted on Twitter: "I have not been given control of the script."

Reports also suggest that Ehren Kruger has taken over the script and Hayden Panettiere's role in the film has apparently been "dumbed down significantly", with the actress believed to be unhappy

It has recently been reported that the latest James Bond movie has seen its production cancelled, due to financing issues with MGM, which co-funded the film.
