Budgeting software may play a part in the creation of the new Spider-Man film.

Budgeting software may be in use for the next instalment of the Spider-Man movies, after an actor was today (July 2nd) named as the new lead for the films.

Following the departure of actor Tobey Maguire and director of three previous hit movies Sam Raimi, Marc Webb took the chair and has revealed British actor Andrew Garfield will play the superhero.

"In the Spider-Man tradition, we were looking for a smart, sensitive and cool new Peter Parker who can inspire us and make us laugh, cry and cheer," said Avi Arad, one of the producers on the Spider-Man franchise.

He added the team believe Garfield will prove to be "the perfect choice" for the role and will take the films into the future.

The film is due to start production later this year in time for a 2012 release date and may be in good hands, as director Webb's debut feature (500) Days Of Summer was Oscar-nominated.
