Students put film software to use
Thu Jul 1 2010 11:26Students have created their first film.
Film software has been used by students to create their first movie, which has premiered to around 400 guests.Dress In The Attic was created by students at South Staffordshire College and features a cast of more than 100 people led by professional actors, reports the Lichfield Mercury.
Budgeting software may have assisted co-producers 24-year-old Eoin Edwards and 20-year-old Charlotte Allwood, both from Lichfield, in ensuring the film was completed on time and within the financial restrictions.
Eoin Edwards, who has now been employed by South Staffordshire College as a technician instructor, said: "The value of this experience has been massive; you couldn't ask for a better project to give you the skills necessary for working in the media industry."
It has recently been announced that American Express has sealed a deal with the British Film Institute to sponsor its annual movie festival and increase the exposure given to new movies.
