Lord of the Rings director Peter Jackson may soon be making use of film software as he is rumoured to be in talks to direct two The Hobbit movies.Director Guillermo del Toro quit the project last month and a source close to the project told Variety that Jackson has been in talks to direct the films since then.
No official confirmation of this has been made available but Jackson hinted at the possibility when del Toro left the project, despite having other projects on the go.
He told the Dominion Post: "If that's what I have to do to protect Warner Bros' investment, then obviously that's one angle which I'll explore."
Del Toro has previously said that sets, wardrobe, animatics and planned battles sequences have all been fully prepared for the films.
The Hobbit films have scheduled released dates of December 2012 and December 2013, which may see production costing software being used soon.
