Time Warner to buy UK production company?

Production costing software may be used as part of plans for Time Warner to purchase the UK television production company Shed Media.Time Warner, which makes shows such as Sex and the City, is in talks with the firm to buy the company behind Supernanny.
According to reports, a £75 million deal could be struck if discussions between Time Warner subsidiary Warner Bros Entertainment and Shed Media, which also makes Who Do You Think You Are?, prove successful.
Experts believe the US media giant hopes to add Shed to its London-based production business and expand on the success of Time Warner shows such as Gossip Girl.
In response to the speculation, Shed Media said that although talks are taking place "there is no certainty that an offer will be made nor as to the terms on which any offer might be made".
The Department for Culture, Media and Sport recently announced it is withdrawing funding from plans for a £166m National Film Centre.
