Film software to be used for Fraggle Rock movie?
Tue Jun 15 2010 11:50Film software may be in use on the delayed production of the Fraggle Rock movie.
Film writer and director Cory Edwards has warned fans of Fraggle Rock "we are going to have to weather a few more storms".The Weinstein Company has been working with Edwards on the big screen movie but is reportedly now looking for a new writer to come aboard the project.
Film software may be in use for the production, which was originally due for a 2011 release but may now be delayed.
Edwards said: "Not to be too alarmist, but I am struggling to stay in control of my own movie at this point."
He expressed concern that the only overall note coming from the studio stated the movie is "not edgy enough".
The Weinstein brothers recently failed in their bid to re-acquire film production studio Miramax from the Walt Disney Company.
Previously, the group had been in talks to buy back the company they founded from Disney in a $625 million (£423 million) deal, but this has since fallen through.
