TV software may soon be in use in Bath, as plans for a new series have been revealed. The Regency Detective is set in Bath during the time of Jane Austen, but is reported to show the darker side of the period, reports The Bath Chronicle.
Specialist agency the Independent Talent Group is currently looking for a production company to bring the vision of the script to life.
Jenni Wagstaffe, film commissioner at the council-run office, suggested it is always delighted to receive proposals for quality Bath-based TV shows.
She said: "One of our key aims is to attract mainstream drama productions to our area, as they not only bring direct economic benefits but are great for tourism as well."
As a very film-friendly city the scriptwriters would receive the council's full support for the project, she addded.
TV software may help production companies manage their outgoings and ensure projects are as cost-effective as possible.
