British films could ensure production is efficient as possible by using IT support services.

Britain has created its own genre of horror films thanks to its low-budget attitude, while IT support services may also play a role in making production efficient.

According to the Guardian, films such as Danny Boyle's 28 Days Later, Edgar Wright's Shaun of the Dead, Neil Marshall's The Descent and Christopher Smith's Severance have helped lead a new wave of scary British films.

UK films have a unique selling point in that they are more focused on realism and have a specific cultural background which is what makes them work, it has been suggested.

Simon Sprackling, co-writer and co-producer of Norfolk-set horror movie The Reeds, told the newspaper: "We're very different from the US because we have a proper gothic tradition. And we have a fatalism to our view of the world, knowing that things can't possibly work out well in the end."

The UK Film Council recently revealed a study by Oxford Economics found the country's movie industry contributes more than £4.5 billion a year to its gross domestic product.

Using IT services could ensure money and time is spent on production, rather than technical issues.ADNFCR-3018-ID-19831736-ADNFCR
