Management software 'can save costs'
Tue Mar 9 2010 15:17Management software can save inbound call centres thousands, it has been claimed.
Inbound call centres could boost their revenue through implementing management software, according to one columnist.Writing for TMCnet, David Sims said such businesses could save thousands in costs through automating workforce management.
Increasing revenue could also be a welcome result of management software, according to the writer, as call centres can improve the service they deliver to customers and potentially speed up order processing.
In addition, call centres which sell via the phone can make more sales as management software can reduce queuing, which is likely to lead to fewer potential customers abandoning their calls.
Management software that uses multi-tenant architecture could also prove to be cost-effective, according to Mr Sims.
He said such software "ensures available computing capacity only when you need it, at the lowest possible cost".
It is not only call centres that can benefit from management software. NBN International hopes to improve the productivity and accuracy of its order processing operations at its book distribution warehouse in Plymouth, MHW Magazine reports.
