A warehouse management system will hopefully decrease staffing errors for one book distribution company.

A book distribution firm is hoping that by implementing a warehouse management system it will decrease the errors that staff have been making.

NBN International has been using a manual process to pick books and then check the order is correct, according to Materials Handling World magazine.

But Ian Wordsworth, IT and operations director at NBN, said the company started to see more and more errors with their current system and so are looking at the digital warehouse management system to improve their order processing.

He added: "We are hoping to save a substantial amount of time and money by reducing the risk of picking errors down to zero, while also improving on our already excellent customer service."
