Could research indicate IT sales growth?
Wed Jan 27 2010 14:06New research has revealed predictions of a rise in IT expenditure.
Use of web-based software could be set to increase over the coming months, if the publication of a new set of figures is anything to go by.Research by CompTIA reveals some 80 per cent of IT industry executives believe firms are set to accelerate the use of alternative business applications through a software-as-a service model.
Just under four-fifths (78 per cent) of respondents claim that reliance on mobility, telework and virtual offices will increase as 2010 progresses, something that could have an impact on a firm's IT support services requirements.
Such statistics follow predictions that global IT spending will grow by between two and four per cent over the course of this year.
Firms wishing to increase their IT expenditure may want to consider installing enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, as Pham Thi Thanh Nga, deputy general director of the Pham Nguyen Confectionery Corporation, recently told the Vietnam News Agency that doing so will help his firm to automate its sales, accounting and finance procedures.
